In line with the government’s initiative to boost tourism in Jordan, our office was commissioned by the Ministry of Tourism to design the Pella Tourist Center in the Jordan Valley. This significant site, dating back to 5000 BC, holds great archaeological and historical importance for Jordan’s heritage.
The building was strategically situated on a sloping hill side, overlooking the site from the east and adjacent to the existing touristic rest house. This location offers a captivating view and convenient access for visitors. A key design feature is the incorporation of a ramp that seamlessly integrates with the building, serving as the main pathway into the archaeological site.
